Too Busy.
There was a busy feeling in the air today, you know those days, where you have so much going on and so many thoughts in your brain, that you feel like you are gulping for air.
Life gets like that a lot. But what perpetuates that? Do we ever just do one thing at a time anymore? There are a lot of sayings lately, “Stop the glorification of busy” and “If you are too busy to laugh, you are too busy.” Because it can be a problem. We ignore ourselves focusing on other things. We get wrapped up in the busy of everyday. It’s so easy to feel lost in a day. Where does the time go?
Ask yourself this: When was the last time you did just one thing?
We are eating and driving and talking and texting and watching TV and looking at social media and spending time together all at the same time. Not all of the time, but let’s be honest, most of the time. We are rushing around from place to place cramming a lot in…aren’t we?
Hit the Pause button
So what do we do? Stop?
We don’t have to stop, but we need to take pause. We need to take a moment to pause, to breathe, to relax, to process, …to be.
When we pause to look around and appreciate. When we pause to really pay attention to our loved ones. When we pause to say “thank you for this life”. When we are in the moment, that is when we are truly alive.
When was the last time you just did one thing at a time?
I’d love to hear about it…
Much love,
Audrey
Today I’m going to go watch my nephew play soccer after work. Your post has inspired me to put my phone in my purse, and just BE at the game with my family (ok, I might take it out once to take a picture!).

That’s awesome. It is tricky with phones because you want to be in the moment and capture it too.
